PODCAST

There are three (3) principal ways to enjoy the audio content of Radio Slipstream.

  1. 1. Play the recordings using the flash-player embedded in most posts containing audio content
  2. 2. Download the mp3s located in the appropriate posts
  3. 3. Subscribe to the Radio Slipstream podcast (details below).

The last option (3) is probably the best bet if you want to keep up to date with everything, and the first option is best if you want to find out if you want to keep up.

Subscribe!

To subscribe to the Radio Slipstream podcast, copy one of the following urls into the program you use to manage podcasts (probably itunes). In Itunes, select “Subscribe to Podcast…” from the ADVANCED menu. The podcast is automatically kept up to date, thanks to the podPress plug-in for wordpress.

http://www.radioslipstream.com/?feed=podcast - all of the audio content posted on the site.

If you don’t want to be inundated with everything I post, the following feeds are tied to certain categories. The first one is probably the most useful. As is the second, and it might make sense to you to keep them separate.

http://www.radioslipstream.com/?feed=rss2&cat=1 - every episode of Radio Slipstream.
http://www.radioslipstream.com/?feed=rss2&cat=87 - all the Mixes/mix cds posted on the site.
http://www.radioslipstream.com/?feed=rss2&cat=97 - the specials and theme episodes of Radio Slipstream.
http://www.radioslipstream.com/?feed=rss2&cat=96 - my personal favourite episodes of Radio Slipstream.

WARNING: Be careful to set your media player’s podcast settings when you subscribe! If you subscribe to the main podcast and itunes is set to automatically download every episode, you will suddenly be downloading about 6 gigabytes of data! this is not a good thing. I recommend setting it to only download new episodes and getting any other ones you want manually.

Please note that the previous podcast (located at radioslipstream.com/podcast.xml) will NO LONGER BE UPDATED. So if you are subscribed to that, please add one of the feeds above.

I would like to extend an apology for using the word podcast far too many times on this page. It is a lame word and I use it only in accordance with common practices.
